When life seems daily
And you’re just trudging through
When time is fleeting
And there’s an empty hole inside of you
Ask yourself this question
What are you living for?
Is it to seek earthly treasures?
Or pleasures all the more?
There’s joy found in righteous purpose
In doing what God asks
Live for the eternal
And only for what lasts
There will come a day
When we stand at The Door
Will there be regrets?
Would we wish that we’d done more?
To live for what lasts
Abiding in Him, it’s all Jesus asks
Keeping a faithful pace, finish well
Living for what lasts
